Project - Shivgad, Vashi

Some homes are defined by their size. Others are defined by how intelligently every inch is used. This compact villa in Vashi is a beautiful example of how thoughtful planning can transform a modest plot into a complete and comfortable family home. Built on a plot of just 500 sq. ft., the challenge was to create a well-planned 3BHK villa with a veranda while ensuring that the home never felt constrained by its compact footprint. Every part of the design called for careful consideration of space, movement, functionality, and everyday comfort. The result is a home where intelligent space planning takes centre stage. Rather than allowing the limited footprint to dictate the possibilities, the design works around it, creating distinct spaces for living, relaxing, and private family life while maintaining a sense of openness throughout the home. The villa brings together practical planning and contemporary aesthetics, with each level and space designed to serve a clear purpose. The 3BHK configuration provides the family with the privacy and flexibility of a larger home, while the veranda adds an additional layer of openness and creates a welcoming transition between the home and its surroundings. A beautifully crafted stone-made Tulsi Mancha adds a traditional touch to the exterior, bringing warmth and a sense of cultural connection to the home's overall character. Inside, the design balances everyday functionality with elements that give the home its own personality. A thoughtfully planned bar counter creates a dedicated space for relaxed conversations and social moments, while carefully selected decorative details add visual interest without making the compact interiors feel overwhelming. The home's character is further enhanced by distinctive touches such as the Shivaji Maharaj wall art, creating a strong visual focal point while bringing a sense of heritage and identity into the contemporary setting. These personal elements help the villa feel more than just efficiently planned; they give the space a character that feels connected to the people who call it home. What makes this project particularly special is the way ASK Design and Build approached the limitations of a small plot as an opportunity for creative design.
